Signature Travel Network this week launched Signature Virtual Connections, a new program designed to help its members recover from the Covid-19 crisis.
The program includes virtual meetings, training and consumer events to be held throughout the year.
新沙巴体育Alex Sharpe, president and CEO of the consortium, hosted the first virtual meeting on Tuesday.
He thanked suppliers that have heeded the call from the agency community to provide early commission payments in some way: Aqua Expeditions, Avalon Waterways, Dream Escape, Exeter, the Globus family of brands, IC Bellagio, Norwegian Cruise Line, Quark Expeditions and Seabourn. He also thanked Accor and others for creating bonus commission programs.
新沙巴体育"We have to accelerate the commission pipeline or this industry will be devastated, and our partners' greatest advocates will be lost," Sharpe said.
Globus CEO Scott Nisbet joined Sharpe later in the program and said he was happy to help agencies.
"Honestly, it made business sense for us," Nisbet said. "We need advisors to survive. Our recovery depends on it."
新沙巴体育Sharpe also provided an update on Signature membership throughout the pandemic. Thus far, he said, only three members have sold their agencies, and in each case they merged with other Signature members.
Additionally, the consortium has onboarded eight new members: Boca Raton Travel & Cruises in Boca Raton, Fla.; Cadillac Travel in Southfield, Mich.; Edgewood Travel in Savannah, Ga.; Elevations Travel in Atlanta, Ga.; Prestige Travel and Cruises in Las Vegas; Stellar Travel in Bellevue, Wash.; Travel of America in Covina, Calif.; Unique Romance and Adventure Travel in Anacortes, Wash., and Vista Travel Associates in North Palm Beach, Fla.
